WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Encore NEO founder and career strategist, Tim Lybarger, will facilitate a practical and interactive overview of the Personal Business Model Canvas as presented in the book, Business Model You: A One Page Method for Reinventing Your Career, by Tim Clark in collaboration with Alex Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur.

As a powerful tool for rethinking our careers, this planning framework will help us assess and take action toward our most rewarding career possibilities, whether we seek traditional forms of work or wish to explore independent work through freelancing.

Attendees will also see how they may also use the same thinking process to assess potential employers and/or clients and how best to connect with their hiring needs.

SPEAKER BIO

Tim began his career with 18 years in the entrepreneurial world of small business. After pursuing his education in business management and organizational development, he spent four years as an organizational development and change management consultant with a large electric utility. This was followed by ten years of rapidly expanding responsibilities at the corporate university of a global consumer products company, where he eventually served as the company’s director of professional and general business development.

In 2012 Tim founded The Chesterland Innovation Center, an entrepreneurial incubator, where he applied the most current lean startup methods to help community-based businesses and non-profits clarify their concepts and take action on the priorities that will help them succeed. In 2014, he founded Encore NEO, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit dedicated to helping inspired men and women, age 50 and older, craft meaningful careers for the second halves of their lives.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, and a Master of Science in Organizational Development and Analysis from the Weatherhead School of Business at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition, he holds certificates in Leadership Development, Personal Effectiveness, Time and Project Management, Execution of Strategic Priorities, Effective Interpersonal Communication, Principled Negotiation Skills, Management and Supervisory Skills, Team Effectiveness, Personal Style Preferences, and 360-degree Feedback Instruments.

He currently serves as Director of Programming for Encore NEO and as a workshop coach for WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers).

DEVELOPING INDIVIDUAL POSSIBILITY

I work with motivated women and men over the age of 50 to help them craft new careers around the things that inspire them most.
Many individuals find themselves reaching a point of overwhelm and confusion – where progress has stalled and motivation lost. In short, they are just operating in survival mode. At various points in my career, I’ve found myself in those same places – stuck because of indecision or paralysis. It led me to become an expert in the tools, processes and skills that can help anyone navigate through stagnation successfully.

Confusion is the enemy. Success requires clarity and effective action. It can be daunting for any individual to facilitate their own renewal process effectively. Compassionate coaching and facilitated planning can help ensure that you get where you want to go faster and with more passion to see it through the tough challenges along the way.
